Whats some of your favorite music to trip on?
If you dont use LSD, what do you think would be good?
>>
>>65138128
It really depends on you musical taste, but some of my faves are:

One Size Fits All
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (duh)
SMiLE
Vespertine
Any jazz you like (I found Live-Evil mind blowing)
>>
Black Moth Super Rainbow
>>
>>65138192
also, I recommend listening to any album you felt sounded good but was "too much" to digest. Krautrock is also great
>>
Fun House by The Stooges
>>
if you're looking for trippy shit the obvious choices are stuff like Animal Collective or Tame Impala
>>
>>65138128
I like Mogwai and Sleep Dealer for acid

I've never taken acid but I listen to a lot of music that sounds inspired by acid.
Ruby the Hatchet - Vast Acid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkaynH3y3Y0
All Them Witches - Dirt Preachers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84_P1M3hHF8
Filthy Apes - Colour Cafe

Stonefield - Put Your Curse On Me

>>
Never tried LSD, I would think Smiley Smile by The Beach Boys would be a good pick though.
>>
>>65138701

Yes. Simply put, yes.
>>
>>65140165

No, that's King Crimson.

i'm working on compiling a chart for this. deakin's sleep cycle would be really fun to trip to
>>
Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear are top notch. A good amount of dadrock like Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Santana. Beach Boys is also good
>>
>>65141119
I'd like to see what's all on that chart

Obvious choice, but still amazing

Every time there a "I'm going to do acid what should I listen to thread" it's the same shit. A lot of post of psychedelic music but nothing out of the ordinary. Listen to your favorite artists or anything you like/love on acid and it'll be great. If you're looking for something to blow your mind and just lose it to it would be something drone or even spoopy. Like sunn or the it follows soundtrack or just something completely new that you've been meaning to listen to but never have.
>>

but it's not a "what should I listen to thread"
it's a
"what do you like to listen to thread"
>>
i remember listening to Kate Bush Hounds of Love on shrooms.

Running up that hill was divine, but when Waking the Witch came on (you know the part) it fucked me up really fast. Just a deep panic like being 3 years old and learning about death for the first time.

td:rl - Drastic changes in mood are a bad idea. And processed vocals can get really scary
>>
>>65138128
When I trip I always listen to a Pink Floyd album. The Wall and The Piper at the Gates of Dawn are nothing short of amazing. The Grateful Dead and Yes are pretty awesome too.

This album got me through a bad trip once, really nice jazz with a banjo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWnVZiOQW5A
Van Morrison is also great, especially Astral Weeks, because of the cover

On the other side of the spectrum, I feel like Einstein on the Beach by Philip Glass would be the worst thing in the world to trip to

>>65142525
I normally don't like Snarky Puppy but I feel they would be great while on LSD
>>
Anything I already like that has a lot of reverb and layers, or just a really dramatic feeling, tends to make the most of it.

Lyrics and poetry on acid as super underrated by the way. Listen intently to some of Bob Dylan's wordiest stuff at the start of the comedown, it'll come to life.

Try sunn o)))

A chart would be dope, I've got a few (probably pretty obvious) suggestions...
>Abbey Road
>AnCo - Campfire Songs
>Pet Sounds + SMiLE Sessions
>Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating Through Space
>Spacemen 3 - Perfect Perscription
>BMSR - Dandelion Gum (anything by BMSR or Tobacco is good to trip to though)
>Brian Jonestown Massacre - Methadone
>Future Days
>Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas
>Deerhunter - Weird Era Continued
>Duster - Stratosphere
>Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy
>Shabazz Palaces - Black Up
>Television - Marquee Moon
I've had good experiences with all of those in the past. Any shoegaze is good for tripping, and psychedelic is good too. Krautrock and experimental are GOAT though

>Beautiful Pimp ll - Rome Fortune

This album, 75% b/c of Planet Caravan, but the whole album is mixed at something of a low volume, so it's easy listening somewhat
