I don't understand why Lushlife doesn't get any recognition but Beat is praised as a game-changer. It has better beats, darker atmospheres, and Beat has a few pretty uninteresting songs.

Aside from the title track (which is really fucking good, I'll admit) it's just pretty generic trip-hop. If they had kept the shoegazey loops it could have been sick, but they're mostly gone, and that's what made Beat so cool.
