Musique concréte with childish tinges. These sounds feel innocent.
There's a lot of twinkly and vivid noises, as well as recordings of children talking, or more like rambling, in italian and english. I understood all of it but it really isn't necessary to get it.
There's some interesting parts, like some cool piano mashing and more atmospheric scenarios, but overall it's not very convincing. Something about it doesn't really feel right, don't know what though; it's like it wants so desperately to sound natural and alive, but it doesn't.

I have never heard Burzum's music. But after about reading the guy on wikipedia the other day, I had a terrifying dream in which he stalked me while he was hiding in a bush, and he tried to kill me but I narrowly escaped. In the dream, he was fully insane.

First time hearing either of these acts (same is more or less true for this whole tourney btw). Both were exciting at first, pretty fresh but got a little old quickly. Both had amazing high points sprinkled among solid tracks that sometimes grew a little tedious. Ultimately the second LB listen made the album grow ("damn there's more here than I remember"), while the second JO listen made it shrink a bit.

I've now rated all of Can's bolded releases and can definitely say they're one of my favourite bands I've discovered this year.

This was just as good as Tago Mago, and better than Future Days, for me. It has that jam-band feel that the others have but also brings it in a quite concise format, which is an interesting change. There is also some more variation in the vocals which I hadn't heard on their other albums.
The album doesn't have the same grandiose atmosphere as Tago Mago, but has an overall sound that is both different and still good, which is what warrants its high rating for me.

Saw the first half of Andrei Rublev, it is astonishingly beautiful
especially liked the bit where cyril becomes disillusioned with the state of the church and walks past all those logs, and the shots where tarovsky films water, like the moss moving beneath the surface and the paint in the water is great... the Witches sabbath and it's aftermath was also exceptionally well shot and had some nice music and the scene in the blank church after the eye removal of these two guys where the holy fool comes into the church and weeps was great
pretty harrowing stuff, excited to watch the rest of it tomorrow

Also, I think I think anime in general gets a bad name because of its fans. Not all anime is inherently terrible, but the weird fetishization of the cartoon underaged girls is really really weird. More puzzling to me is the idea that people feel the need to share their favorite fetishized cartoon underaged girls with others and get into heated disputes, even in unrelated discussions. Even more puzzling is why anyone gets offended when people tell them it's disturbing. The cognitive dissonance that must be required is mind-boggling to me.

I listened to Tony William's spring. It's a difficult record I guess. The playing is a bit scattered as the players take their time improvising and at times each seems to go on about their way. Nevertheless it works, the improvisations build nicely and for the most part the album has a pretty calm feeling to it that never results into background music giving how interesting this gets to sound.
Similar to some of Andrew Hill's slower tracks I guess. I liked it.

Shazaming the tracks brings up named tracks by "BRAINZ", and according to Universal Australia's release schedule, BRAINZ is apparently releasing a track called Frankie Sinatra some time this week. Danny Brown has previously reported working with the group on a song similarly titled "Frank Sinatra" so it is basically that is the first single from the new album.
Also, if Shazam can identify the music then Universal has already uploaded the album to whatever database Shazam is using. The album is definitely finished and ready for release, it's just a matter of when.
