One of my favorite albums
I like it a lot. The New Year, Expo 86, Transatlanticism and We Looked Like Giants are my jams.

It really is a shame Plans was so disappointing yet commercially successful because I honestly liked this style more than what they're doing now.

B-but I like Plans too desu. Although certainly not as much as Trans.
I haven't really followed them since then anyways so I can't really speak for their recent output.

i love it but don't listen to it often because it hits too close to home

Plans is their best.
We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes is better but this is still solid
Trans is defo Gibbard's best lyricism. He has this really clunky, awkward way of writing lyrics that can be incredibly hit and miss, and this album has the most hits. The New Year especially just fucking slays me. My life was going nowhere when I first heard it at 15. Now I'm 22 and it's still the same. Fuck.

the title track is fucking amazing
Fucking beautiful album, which makes it all the more surprising when every comment so far is positive

Yeah I was actually expecting it to be shit on here but maybe it's just cause it's not /mu/core like TPS' Give Up.
This and JEW's Clarity are my go-to emo/indie pop albums, with emphasis on the pop. I wish I knew more like these.
Death of an interior decorator is one of my favorite songs.

This song right fucking here. I love the atmosphere of this song.
Best Death Cab album is Narrow Stairs.

I actually really enjoyed this one, too. Codes and Keys was a pretty great follow-up as well.
But I'd still say Transatlanticism is by far the catchiest and most lyrically interesting Death Cab album to me. Plus Chris is at his legit most breathtaking instrumentally.

The Sound of Settling hits me like
