I enjoy music from both groups. Purple's work from 70 - 72 is really excellent though (not saying Zep's isn't.) They had a TON of energy a great live performances during that time.

Love the music, can't stand Ian Gillan's screechy voice, especially live. His lyrics are the epitome of dunderheaded "baby baby" hard rock lyrics too.
