Astral Weeks is a great album
I honestly thought my relationship with music was some kind of mental illness or brain tumor or something until I started reading his anthologies. Completely changed my life, changed the way I thought about music, changed the music I listened to, cannot possibly exaggerate the impact he had on me.
His amphetamine prose can be exhausting, but when he was focused and somewhat stable, he was easily the best rock writer in the world.
