Got an idea this morning. Lot of people are talking about looking for a local scene, venue or shows to go to, so it might be good to start posting area codes and trading info or whatever, nobody stalk each other or invite it.

This band is touring Europe this summer and the US starting around August, hitting a lot of smaller towns, so keep an eye out. Great band and a good way to get in the loop of what's going on around you.

It's pretty great atmosphere, great music, sits with you forever, but not a whole lot happens. Don't expect a gore fest. It's really solid mood. Very uncanny details going on though.

All of German Expressionism, Todd Browning horror, The Seventh Seal, all of Kenneth Anger, Santa Sangre, all of Hammer Horror, Andy Warhol's couple of flicks Blood for Dracula and Flesh for Frankenstein.

For lighter fare, The Lost Boys and Near Dark, The Craft, Ginger Snaps, original Carnival of Souls, fucking everything Vincent Price or Bela Lugosi was in.

Then for total schlock, look through the Something Weird Video catalog.
