kurt is so underrated he hated the fame and never wanted it, he didn't want to be on the top 40, and didn't want the parents to know about nirvana. before he died he would break up the band a couple days here and there before making it official but would always come back to it after a few days due to loving creating music

I recognize that he wrote a lot of solid pop songs and even some great ones, but I don't really find Nirvana to be that captivating. I'm sure it was the shit then, but it doesn't really hold up like a lot of other 90s acts considering that Nirvana was the start of the end for alternative rock, and any other band with some uniqueness that "made it" during that timeframe was just clinging to the dying popularity of the genre. Pretty much ended with Superunknown and then we were left with garbage like Bush to be followed by Creed and Nickelback.

The Black Parade is a Pop-Punk masterpiece.
Danger Days was the album that MCR wanted to make for the longest time, I urge you to go back and listen to it again. It's a fun little album that's actually pretty great upon 1 or 2 replays.
