Well, every album has atmosphere, the question is what kind of atmosphere were looking for. The albums I would traditionally call atmospheroc are those that have an original sound and are cohesive. It creates its own little universe. Donuts, while great, is all over the place - it's famous for being a crazy lump of creativity. A good example of an atmospheric record to me is Endtroducing, an album that clearly fills my criteria.

what the fuck does that even mean? that's like when people call a certain rapper "a lyricist" trying to describe the music in a popular light. um, yes, he is saying words, he is a lyricist. Just like all albums have a certain atmosphere.
