Does it get better?

Listen to Illinois.

no, that would be this one

It depends on what you are into. Each album he puts out has quite a variance in style. Michigan, Illinois, and Carrie & Lowell are among my favorites as well. All of those are definitely worth a listen.
just wondering if any body else was so appalled by the Blandness of the guitar arrangement on Death Without Dignity, that they still havent listened to the whole album...
to anyone who is musical at all, that chord progression is the most basic and easy bullshit and it just got to me
>UFO sighting
>Flint
>futile devices
god tier openers
and All the Trees is a great song too,
but DWD just fucked with me

Michigan by far is the best Sufjan Stevens album and "Oh god where are you now" and Vitos Ordination Song are the two best songs possibly to ever grace this planet

i meant death with dignity
its not bad i just expected so much more from a sufjan opener.
and lyrics like the masturbated thing
doesnt sit well with me!!!!!!!!!!!!

good times were had by me
All Delighted People
Age of Adz > All Delighted People > Illinois = Enjoy Your Rabbit >>>>> Michigan >>>>>>>>>> Power gap >>>>>>>>> Carrie and Lowell = Seven Swans

Some of my absolute favourite tracks are on this EP, but overall my favourite is probably Adz. Followed by Seven Swans.
I mean, Illinoise is probably still the best objectively. Carrie and Lowell is fucking amazing live but is sometimes boring on the record unless you're in the right mood for it.
Some of it was a bit like this.
