Since the shitposting has calmed down I'd just like to remind you that things will only get worse. The moment Fantano's review for Terminal Redux comes out, the rest of /mu/ will have become familiar with it and have given it a listen. Fantano himself has said that Vektor are the best thrash band out right now, and judging from his excitement over the album this seems to be his favorite work from them. Expect a strong 9 and his metal AOTY, the amount of meming that ill be produced afterwards will eclipse what this general has been doing for the past two days. Things are only going to get worse, the moment you see a Terminal Redux review by the melon on youtube I'd suggest leaving /mu/ for a good two weeks if you're barely able to handle the current shitposting.

Biggest problem with principle is the production, drums drown out the riffs, there are good ones hidden in there but they're not memorable in the slightest cause they're barely audible and have no impact and the vocals don't even sound good by raw bm standards. Also it has way too much filler even for a CoF album so I can agree to that not being great, it's still decent though.
Midian might not have riffs at the level of cruelty and dusk but imo it makes up for it just through perfecting the atmosphere they were aiming for all that time. The lyrics especially are at their best there and the riffs aren't horrid, they're just sometimes a bit uninspired and follows the symphonic part too much instead of taking their own spot in the songs.
And yeah I might be fanboying a bit too hard, CoF is what got me into black/death back in 2001

Black metal is the most edgy teenage genre there possibly is, it outangsts all other metal let alone normal music.
The initial idea was literally to play the fastest, loudest, darkest music with the most controversial lyrics about satan and all that jazz. The most genre-defining pieces were composed and recorded by 14-18 year old edgelords probably just to fuck with everyone at once.
