Husker Du. I liked them a lot until I picked up Bob Mould's autobiography. What a revolting little faggot.

Guns and Roses mostly wrote music in the 90s; what the fuck are you talking about?

Orange Juice were guys from Glasgow, their most popular song was Rip It Up (And Start Again). Their guitarist and singer Edwin Collins later scored a hit with A Girl Like You

Did they invent that guitar riff?

Orange Juice recorded what was basically the very first "indie" song, Falling and Laughing, in 1978. They released two fantastic albums in 1982.
>>
>>64749327
Their first record is IMO their greatest achievement. Plus, that kind of music really went out of style in the '90s.

They lowkey always have been

yeah I don't see them as being hyped in over-the-top /mu/core-level way here, but their secret is probably dawning on more and more people here

but yeah it will probably somehow remain lowkey. it's somehow better them being kind of a secret.

Swans they are my favorite band so no shit.

Glenn Branca has released a bunch of great stuff in the 80s. Being a fan of minimalist stuff like Julius Eastman and Terry Riley while also being a fan of messing around with electric guitar(s), I can totally see where Bramca was coming from in that respect.

Morbid Angel only has two releases in the 80s, but both are among if not my very favorite of death metal and quite possibly metal in general.

I have also only seen Yes mentioned once in this topic. 80s Yes were an awful album bad, but fantastic singles band. If they had released all their good stuff around this time as singles instead of inside bloated albums Yes' already strong legacy would've been stronger.
