100% agreed, my favorite on the album. That opening lick is what got me into RH
also Gillian Welch's cover is amazing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0xDNtqNcAc

Fake Plastic Trees IMO. Idk why it gets so much shit. It's a beautifully composed song with great lyrics. The fact that Jeff Buckley influenced that song makes it even better.

Sulk and My Iron Lung are much better.
The best one, and also very underrated is obviously Life in a Glasshouse.

I don't know why people hate this song, the second half is a 10/10 headbanger.

The Bends gets so much shit for being an alt rock album but it still is the best in the genre. Better than TKOL for sure and at least on par with Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief.
this is my pick

such a good ambient piece. perfectly placed between how to disappear completely and optimistic

>Thinking just because a bands popular they can't have underrated songs
I'm gonna have to go with We Suck Young Blood. It's a jarring piece that doesn't really fit with the band's usual fare (aside from that semi-forced break in the middle) and even if you can accept that much it's still one of the most melodramatic songs ever written from a band with no real shortage of melodramatic songs. I definitely understand how it turns some people off but for me that creeping dirge-like progression, borderline lethargic claps, and absolutely morbid imagery work for me. Still an oddball track on its album but on its own merits I think it's very underrated.

I agree. It's like a more subtle version of let down.

It's probably early to bring up AMSP, but I'd say Tinker Tailor. Sounds like it was ripped straight from Amnesiac.

Eh, Sulk feels a bit meandering. It's kind of slick, texturally, doesn't catch my ears. Iron Lung is better, but after repeated listens it just gets kind of boring as well. It's got a memorable riff, but otherwise it just doesn't do much for me.
I've seen quite a few people on here call Glasshouse their best closer, which I find a bit absurd, considering The Tourist, MPS, and Street Spirit exist.

Tinker Tailor has "underappreciated" written all over it. It's not a favorite of mine either but I do think it's pretty good. It sounds like TKOL's cover to me, now that I think about it.

on AMSP i think it's desert island disk imo. Incredible guitar
>>64749678
I've never been the biggest fan of Tourist, MPS, and Glasshouse myself but if I had to say which of those 3 are the best then I'd go with Glasshouse.
>>64749085
People hate this song? It's one of the best 'rock' songs radiohead ever made.
>>64749085
The whole song is a 10/10 headbanger. By far one of my favourite Radiohead tracks
>>64749734
and very fun to play on guitar

THIS THIS THIS
i used to play this song on repeat for hours when i was a kid and i still love it. its so nostalgic for me. wasily my favourite song on the album next to I wish I was Bullet proof
>implying creep isn't the most underrated song of all time
>>64749791
i'm being srs, it IS kinda is underrated by fans. every fan treats it like it's complete shit but given the time it was released it's not even that bad. And thom's voice was at its strongest (https://youtu.be/VzLlwlb1PRI?t=140 )
>>64749791
If any song in Radiohead's canon has received its due, it's Creep.
>>64749700
Yeah, definitely that one too.
