Seem like more of a joke when the poster has clearly gone so far out of their way to exclude any album that is recognisable or might be considered a classic just for the sake of their favourites list looking more interesting.

It's fine to like classic albums. Sometimes things that are popular are good.

all of that music is from sharethreads on mu, so at least a few other people here have probably listened to a few of those albums
here is the first chart i ever made
i like a lot of the albums on the other chart a lot more than these albums though. doesn't mean i don't listen to any of the albums on this post's chart, just that i prefer the other chart and it's more up-to-date

the point of not filling your chart with recognizable albums is so that the people who DO recognize things on your charts are able to give more accurate recommendations. if you fill your chart with stuff that is universally well liked then it is just diluting your interests. no posturing.
