What's the most spacious and relaxed indie rock record you know of?
Off the top of my head the glow pt. 2 but I don't know the genre very well
Young The Giant - Self-Titled
Death Cab For Cutie - Basically everything
The Shins - Wincing The Night Away, Chutes Too Narrow

I wouldn't necessarily call that relaxed but I know what you're getting at

This is the best Death Cab album. It is also very relaxed.

I personally thought Transatlanticism was better. Then again, I think that album is an absolute masterpiece. Easily one of the best indie records of the last decade.
But We Have The Facts is excellent, too. Just excellent in a different way.

Eraserhead is the first film that legitimately made me vomit. I'm never watching it again. Its a masterpiece, but I am never, ever watching it again. I don't need that shit in my life.

I like Transatlanticism too. We Have the Facts is just more my speed I guess. Emo and slowcore are two of my favourite genres and I love how both are present on We Have the Facts in an accessible and extremely comfy way.

A lot of this reminds me of Death Cab actually. I guess there's 3 or 4 rockers but it's mostly slow, pretty ballads that build to a big finish with vocal harmonies and strings. And then there's the 15 minute space-out that is Goodbye Sky Harbor.

My favourite emo record is American Football's self titled, or Very Secretary's Standing In The Shade.
I adore slowcore, but the old-school stuff. The newer stuff just borrows too much from more poppy emo bands and that doesn't really gel with my tastes.

Who the fuck are these excellent people and how have I never heard of them before?
