Which is better?
>>
Kid A

Only the first 4 tracks off OK Computer are any good.

The Bends is better than both.
>>
Amnesiac
>>
The only people who say OK Computer are people who don't care about harmony, rhythm, and innovation. They just want catchy tunes.

AKA plebs.
>>
>>64640736
Kid A is best Radiohead. I never thought I'd hold that opinion.
>>
>>64640736
OKC easily Kid A lulls too hard in the middle and gets repetitive
>>
Hail To The Thief
>>
Kid A, but In Rainbows is better than both.

Kid A

here's a poll

>>
>>64640736
OKC is far better. paranoid android, climbing up the walls, let down, exit music, lucky and subterranian are all 10/10.
kid a has optimistic, idioteque and EIIRP, which are 10/10 but some mediocre track s( kid a and motion picture and treefingers) bog it down far below OKC's gretneass

>not mediocre
maybe the song that I wrote was wrong. one of the Kid A tracks has this awful effect they puit on yorke's voice that sounds hilarious

Kid A??
More like Windowlick-Byrjún
>>
>>64641031
that song is fucking great you retard
>>
>>64640765
or maybe people prefer songs that actually grow and evolve rather than 5 minutes of EDM and ambient tracks interspersed between nonsensical phrases and similar melodies?
>>
>>64640996

Kid A is literally the best song on the album
>>
>>64640736
Kid A.

OK Computer is too fucking depressing for me. No surprises is some seriousl kill yourself core music and I can't take that shit too much it bums me the fuck out totally.

Then again Kid A has treefingers, easily one of the worst songs ever made.
>>
>>64641085
>hates treefingers
>less depressing than ok computer
Someone's never actually listened to the whole thing through
>>
>>64641062
>>64641050
sorry i made a mistake. kid a is great. the national anthem is the one with the weird vocals.

really to answer OP's question, it's splitting hairs. they're both 9/10's at least. Easily best two albums of radiohead, with amnesiac coming in at third.
>>
>>64641148
>the national anthem is the one with the weird vocals.

I don't understand
>>
>>64641109
Treefingers sucks ass and you know it.
>>
>>64641109
not him but Let Down alone makes OKC more depressing
>>
>>64641197
that song ends on a positive note though. those electric rising notes are like a stairway to heaven. and that final guitar strum.
also, the quality of an album should not be based on how "depressing" it is. they've both god sad bits and happy bits but the quality of songs is what matters. DESU i don't think there's a clear answer between OKC and Kid A.
>>
>>64641148
>>64641165

there is some kind of phaser or something on Thom's voice in "National Anthem"

But "Kid A" definitely has "weirder" vocals
>>
Kid A holds a special place in my heart.

But I like what OK Computer is saying more.

But they're both great, one doesn't have to be better than the other.

EVERY ONE
EVERY ONE IS SO ... NEEEAAR
so nasally. ugh. the bassline saves it.
>>
>>64641258
nigga if you're criticizing Thom Yorke for having a nasally voice in one song it's hard to defend his voice in every other song
>>
>>64641314
maybe "nasally" isn't the best word. tinny, echoey. the effect makes his voice sound really strange and I don't like it. but the trumpets on that track and crazy jazz solos make a pretty damn good track. listening to it right now and it isn't as bad as i remember. i guess Kid A doesn't have a "karma police" but it doesn't have a "climbing up the walls" either.

>bad
>>
>>64641258

>the bassline saves it

>the point of the song is the Mingus-esque bassline so

it's not really supposed to be a vocal showpiece for Thom. i'd go listen to HTTT or IR if you want that
>>
>>64641384
>reading comprehension
karma police is the worst one on OKC by a big margin. climbing up the walls is best
>>
>>64641342
Idioteque or How To Disappear Completely are the Karma Police
>>
>>64640977
>tfw Kid A is leading heavily
every vote in its right place
>>
>>64641491
>>64641490
Oops nvm
>>
>>64641513
guarantee jhalf those people who voted kid a haven't even lsitened to OKC in full
>>
>>64641538
I haven't honestly
It's always sounded boring as fuck to me, some good songs on it but overall just sounds like every other late 90s alt rock album
Not that that's a bad thing, it basically created that sound, I just don't care for it
>>
>>64641490
>implying you made it clear which one you thought was good
>>
>>64641589
who the fuck would think karma police is one of the better tracks on OKC? that track sucks
>>
>>64641808
No it doesn't the piano outro is amazing

this

It's not great, but it is if you are listening through the whole album. That's how I know you didn't listen to it
>>
>>64641197
The ending of morning bell is haunting. That + everything in its right place, disappear, motion picture soundtrack make that album intense
