>dude love that i band, i have their greatest hits album!
this shit rules though
>>64623826
Nothing wrong with getting greatest hits for bands you only kind of care about. I don't want to wade through a thousand Beatles albums if I only like a dozen of their songs
>>64623871
>a thousand Beatles albums
Beatles only have 13 albums not counting the American rearranged versions. And only 8 albums after the turning point where they got more experimental which is really what everybody cares about anyway.

You get my point, if you don't care that much about an artist then just get the compilation of their 20 most famous songs.

jesus you're such a pleb
do you only watch funny clips on youtube of your "favorite show"?

Every normie queen fan

No, if it's my favorite show I own the entire series, kind of like how if I like an artist I own all of their albums. If there's musicians I kind of like but not enough to own their catalog then I'll just get a compilation album

>omg I love Queen
>wtf is Brighton Rock lol
Greatest hits are great for driving. Usually they last a long time so you don't have to switch them out, they're all songs that are fun to sing along too. ChangesBowie and Stop Making Sense are my top 2 driving CDs.
That being said if you buy a greatest hits album for more than like 5 dollars or don't have any of the artists actual albums you're the worst kind of music listener.

Did you know that 'Greatest Hits' was the debut album of 90s Canadian indie rock group The Rheostatics? So witty.
>>64624722
I think a few bands have done something like that. Wish I could remember more of them though. Actually, RYM has Throbbing Gristle's debut album as being Best Of.... Volume II. And apparently there was a Volume I that was a bootleg.
>their Greatest Hits is the only album you've ever found at record stores and you have everything else of theirs illegally downloaded

you dense and stupid motherfucker. the entire point of this thread is to deride fools who call an artist their favorite while listening only their top compilation. idiot.
Mike > Joel
The only reason compilations should exist should be for a place for unreleased tracks to go. If you made some songs you thought were good but didn't fit on an album, put out a compilation, instead of defacing the album with bonus tracks. Otherwise, there's no reason for compilations to exist. I'm generally apposed to them. There are only two compilation albums I've heard that I think are actually great, and those are Neil Young's Decade and Lucky Thirteen.

what kind of autist does that?
You could just watch random episodes and not give a shit because tv's pretty shitty anyway
