Everything about Centipede Hz is terrible. The songwriting is audibly forced and uninspired and the production is fucking repulsive. Even songs that pretend to be good, like New Town Burnout, make no progression and lead nowhere, it's like they just exist so that there will be a song, with no purpose. Even Amanita, which people tend to praise, sounds forced and unnatural, and is clearly going for a 'great closing track,' but is nowhere near as effortless as Brother Sport. The whole album is just so painful to listen to. It sounds like their straining so hard. I know people pretend it's great to feel unique and interesting, but it just makes you look like idiots who can't tell a good album from a bad one.
