There is lots of downbeat breaks + soul style music still being made though. Trip hop proper IMO is only 3 artists.

Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky are though, I see Shadow as more instrumental / alternate hip hop / turntablism desu, even if In/Flux did coin the phrase originally.
