Chair Beside a Window is better
This and the Squarepusher album that came out last year.
With an opening track that good I was really let down by the album. That statement goes for both of them.

Jandek isn't the type of thing that normies would truly get, some might pretend that they do. If you're not living with extreme isolation/depression/anxiety it's not the type of feeling that you can relate to.

I make the same kind of music he made but better. I convey the same kind of things he sang about, but without relying on the "this is good because it's bad and I can't do better because I'm actually crazy" element. I have just enough crazy in me to understand and express these themes without being impaired by it. His stuff sounds very insular to me, like he's stuck in that world while singing about it. I'm able to fully convey these things in a way that makes people realize it within themselves, not feeling like, "Well, that guy's singing about himself."
