avant butt rock?
>>64563404
forgot to tag >>64563188
predates ecco jams by a year
>>64563391
heh
ITCOCK
>>64563188
I always wondering did Ferraro and Florralshoppe arrive at vaporwave independently or did they hear OPN's album and go from there?
>>64563467
insane clown posse were death grips' major influence though so I'd say they did it first
>>64563541
far side virtual doesn't really sound like eccojams. Florrashoppe does seem to be inspired by skeleton and opn, and ferraro visually.
>>64563546
Jaggalos and Death Grips fans are actually the same people in different clothing.
the first doom metal
idk how much to debate on this when it comes to full albums (i know theirs individual tracks that predate it)
The first grunge album
>>64563958
first pop grunge album
>>64563188
first hypergrunge
even though what little else out there is all post-vaporwave memey shit I'm legitimately interested to hear more shit on the level of this
>>64565051
>people legitimately think this
>>64563238
That's not Future Days.
>>64563986
grunge is pop
>>64565194
prove me wrong then anon, I'd really like to hear some good shit similar to it
>>64563188
the first ever music that is also a meme
>>64565291
Lil B and Bull of Heaven came before Eccojams
>>64565291
>captain beefheart
>>64563242
they invented krautrock, prog rock, post rock, noise rock, list goes on
I wonder who truly had the idea of vaporwave first vs who released first
>>64565716
Boards of Canada on Old Tunes Vol. 2
Especially the song Nine Rubber Wisdom
>>64565263
Idk if youve heard this one, it's still kind of post vapor meme especially with shia, but it's lowkey some serious next level hypergrunge
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfN21Q0yMJ4
>>64563430
that song is on ecco jams
>>64565716
>>64565812
Future Sound of London- lifeforms era.
It's literally everything that vapor shit became but better. chilled ambient beats and 3D CGI graphic animations.
>>64566114
I have that guys stuff already but thanks
also honestly I'm more interested in the type of abstracted grunge mixed with (as retarded as it sounds) youtube nightcore mixes, and his stuff doesn't really do that
I want something that makes me feel immersed in a world similar to the one Lopatin was working with in GoD I guess
>>64566149
I think Nine Rubber Wisdom may have been done before that mate
>>64566186
>Nine Rubber Wisdom
probably. I don't like BoC so I wouldn't know.
>>64566186
Yeah I get what you mean. I feel like RUI needs to make a regular album. Kind of wasting his talent on conceptual meme shit.
>>64563188
plunderphonics had been a thing for a pretty long time doofus
>>64566405
I don't think I'd want to see him do something like GoD, but I do think his stuff tends to be a bit structureless I guess. I'd be really interested if he were to start doing a kind of mix between his current style and maybe something like Arca's newer stuff, like a more ambient and glitched out version of it.
>>64566514
u r retarded
hey
>>64566873
it's me
>>64566912
ur brother
>>64567917
these basically turned black metal into black metal
Synth Punk
>>64568672
Synth punk didn't exist until a long time after this record
>>64567342
i unironically like them and I hate myself for it.
What is this, even?
>>64567939
holy shit you really have no idea what you're talking about
why do I ever leave /metal/?
>>64568697
Your point being?
>>64568697
that doesn't make Suicide s/t not the first synth punk record
and plus there were lots of synth punk bands that popped up around then: The Screamers, The Units, Fad Gadget etc
Shitty bread
>>64568959
more like
>>64563188
>>64563654
>no one fell for your awful bait
how do you feel?
>>64570498
first what? noise pop?
>>64563404
>>64563430
You do realize that sunsetcorp is OPN's youtube account, right?
>>64563467
What genre would that be exactly?
avant-country
>>64563500
Wrong, Moody Blues created prog rock (AND symphonic prog) with Days of Future Past more than a year before King Crimson
>>64569941
>>64570498
>>64571020
All wrong. All great records but they have predecessors
>>64568776
metal is for autists
>>64570968
damn... i got fooled.
>>64563651
I don't see Death Grips fans committing violent acts against other people. The most illegal thing most DG fans have done is probably smoke weed.
>>64567939
kill yourself
>>64571830
>probably smoke weed
Fucking degenerates
>>64571241
What record made use of Loops and Digital Samples before Technodelic?
Rec me it senpai
>>64565205
Sister Ray is the first post rock recording
>>64571917
>>64563188
Pretty sure Chopped n Screwed/ Plunderphonics/ Footwork/ Juke/ City Pop/ Sampling was done about 3 or 4 decades before this album.
>>64572542
Yep.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vugqRAX7xQE
>>64568774
Microsound, and this wasn't the genre's first
>the birth of blackgaze
>like a Cocteau Twins/Burzum collaborative split >Roughly half the time, vocals were delivered in an angelic coo; the other half, they were a raw, distant shriek
The firsts shoe gaze
>>64565051
i mean
if you want to invent a genre for every "boundary pushing" album that comes out because it makes you feel better somehow then go for it
but don't push your dumb post-microgenre bullshit on other ppl
>>64572542
This, vapourware is just doing it in a different way
Jungle.

Acid.

Its actually very difficult to make that kind of statement about prog because a lot of the psychedelic rock of the 60's had progressive elements, also prog wasnt really a genre at the time and more a sign of experimentation with rock music
