This, and today most vinyl is mastered from digital. If you're listening to old recordings mastered for vinyl you might benefit from it though
As for recent recordings, your vinyl player might have better components which affect sound, otherwise the difference should be minimal.

It also depends on what type of record player you have, and your sound system.
Some people like physical media. There's nothing wrong with that.
