I have listened to many Pantera songs, and they're good. But they sound very unoriginal and uninspiring musically. I can even pinpoint their riffs to certain songs. It's mostly Metallica+AC/DC+Guns N' Roses+Led Zep. I'm not even sure there's such a thing as Pantera sound—the only thing they add is grittier vocals.

I think I actually meant to say, it's not the high-pitched vocals that annoy me in QotSA: I enjoy Axl Rose's voice a lot. It's only that kind of melancholic vocals that I hate, like on No One Knows. However, Homme doesn't always sing in it, which is a plus for me.
