it seems like boc fans split into two camps, one that thinks their stuff is largely chill as fuck and one that hears a really dark, creepy undertone in pretty much everything they do. I fall firmly into the former camp, and you probably just fit more with the latter.

Personally, I didn't think Geogaddi was as spoopy as people say it is
Not saying it doesn't have some very dark and anxiety inducing parts in it, but some tracks in it (Smallest Weird Number, Alpha and Omega, Over the Horizon Radar, just to name a few) honestly have a very calm and relaxing feel it to them, but then again I feel as though some tracks on this album are on here just to permeate from the creepiness of it all, so it isn't all just completely dark

it's definitely their darkest, but I agree. it has energy warning on it for fuck's sake, they clearly had a bit of a sense of humor and a desire to split up the heavier parts when making it. if they didn't the whole album would've just been more extremely claustrophobic stuff like gyroscope (which would actually be pretty cool now that I think about it)
