Hey /mu/ I'm looking for something pretty specific. Basically are there any bands that specialise in "lazy" rock instrumentals typically with the guitar may be the most prominent, usually slow and probably soaked in some kind of effect or reverb. Usually it sounds sort of unpolished and maybe DIY (no ballads) atm I can only think of a few examples:
>Longview - Green Day

>Letterbox - Where Shall We Dine?

>Strangers - Car Seat Headrest

any suggestions?

There's this entire subgenre of rock known as 'math rock' where the artists play their basic rock riffs in weird time signatures to hide the fact that they have no idea how to write music. You should try that out.
Careers from Beverly. Not a huge fan, bit it was a pretty relaxing listen I'd say.

noice. will check out
BRMC, Black Science, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, or any band in the realm of neo-psychedelica
Mac Demarco's entire discography , worth checking out ;)
Maybe screaming trees? Mark's whiskey stained vocals might pass your definition of lazy, and most of the trees' stuff is midtempo garage-ish grunge rock
