Their recent album Angel Guts returns to that dark style a bit. One of the best albums they've made in my opinion. Very minimal too.

A group of geniuses, even if they fell off for bit. They are definitely coming back into their own in the recent years.

Can someone sum up the band? Never listened but I see them mentioned occasionally

Hard to sum up desu. They have more than 10 studio albums, each one has a unique sound from the last. They started out sort of avante garde noise pop, really sad sound along with fucking depressing lyrics (1st three albums are generally considered their best). They moved away from the sad sound into more upbeat poppy stuff for a while, then they've moved back into the dark stuff on their last non covers album Angel Guts: Red Classroom. Most of their albums are growers imo, my favorite band tho, definitely worth getting into.

I think they are OK, they just push the gay thing a bit too much for me.
