Dead Kennedys are overrated though; Black Flag, Minor Threat, Descendants, Hüsker Dü, and Bad Brains are all way better

Is it me or Green Day is the only pop-punk band from the late 90s and early 2000s that has retained their talent from their earlier years? don't get me wrong I love Blink, Sum (On certain "edgy" moments) and The Offspring (They shouldn't really be classified as "pop" punk) But it feels like when Green Day sings their old songs they don't sound like shit (have you seen blink try to sing small things nowadays compared to the nineties?)

And I'm not really sure why we don't talk about hardcore punk more. I think it might be that the genre itself hasn't really done anything new or exciting recently. I mean, unless you consider early Girl Band to be hardcore, then nothing new has really happened.
