One of my favorite albums now, and it's so far removed from the genres I like.

Hey, this actually is decent. Not a whole lot happening, but three to four times more than on an average album round these parts, and most importantly, it is actually *played* and doesn't hide between effects or textures or whatever. It's very clean. The full album on YouTube has been uploaded by someone named 'Worldhaspostrock', and I think that association with that genre would do that album ill justice.

The album sounds like it would be awful on lsd.
Trout Mask Replica, went in knowing literally one thing, that it was pretentious. I ended up being pleasantly surprised by how gruff and bluesy Frownland was and instantly liked the whole LP first try. Not sure what I was expecting but I didn't think I'd enjoy it so much.
Another one is Exuma, I got kind of what I expected with that one but I didn't think it was going to be as good as it is, both these albums became instant favourites.
