I pretended to like death metal to make friends but secretly listened to the Smiths.

That's an odd album for a scene kid, assuming you were the typical 2000s scene kid with the dyed hair and piercings and everything. I mean, it's an angsty enough album, just not what you expect from a scene kid.

Yeah, I know. I was a typical scene kid but Siamese Dream was my personal favorite. My friends liked scene-shit-core like MCR and P!@tD and BVB, god it was a cringey time.

I was always much more musically diverse than them, and at the risk of sounding very pretentious, I was the most musically diverse in the school.

I mostly hung out with my friends grandma and grandpa. We would watch all their old vhs copies of Hee-Haw they recorded off of cable.

I played trombone through high school so I naturally gravitated towards the fellow band geeks. There was this girl in my class who I think was low key trying to hook up with me, but I was aspie as fuck and couldn't bring myself to follow through with her.
I also hung out with gamer friends and art students.

I was p cool. I was a pretty gifted but really nerdy kid up until 6th grade, then I got involved with wrestling and really fucking retarded alpha kids. In 8th grade my best friends were like a chubby terrible italian soccer player that was basically gay and really dumb, a weed smoking new kid that was my best friend and didn't care about anything and i used him as a bitch magnet, a super rich indian wrestler that was really good at cooking and science, the bet wrestler in the state that was abusive towards me, and a really fast really rich really ripped russian kid with a big dick that we would al make fun of.
I liked Tom Waits, REM, Smiths, Beach Boys, David Bowie, Scott Walker, Swans, Queens of the Stone Age, Talk Talk, Stooges, TVU, Big Black, tons of rap, some jazz, some black metal
