You can't just compare musical genres you fucking tools. You can find rock artists like Can, Faust, Captain Beefheart, TVU, Tricot, etc, and then pop artists like Shiina Ringo, The Residents, Cornelius, Sweet Trip, etc. They are all unique and well respected artists, maybe some better than others but that is never entirely tied to genres. Both poptimism and rockism are fucking thrash tier opinions and you should be fucking ashamed for holding them
