Skillex ruined it. I remember when dubstep was relatively unknown, but accepted as a legitimate genre like dnb or garage. When skrillex came along with all his imitators people would rather be seen dead than call their work "dubstep"

In my humble opinion lads it was Rusko's "fault". He brought that aggressive obnoxious sound to Dubstep, which caught the ear of yanks.
I remember spacing away on these tunes so often.. I still feel bad that I discovered the dubstep scene way too late. I think the last good dubstep album was fabriclive 37.
