Are you patrician enough to be on this board?
Find out here: http://mainstream.ghan.nl/

Use last 3 months and top 50 (top 100 would be used if the site had that).

Will calculate the score you should aim for and post here.

if you use last fm you're too pleb for mu

The higher the percentage = the more pleb, or the opposite

Anyway, if your score is 3 or less you are patrician.
PS: any score below 3 is worth EXACTLY the same thing, a score of 3 and a score of 0 are worth the same thing.

PS:2As you see this formula allows to you listen to any band you want including coldplay, the band with most listeners on last.fm, so before you complain "why cant I listen to kayne west, or taylor swift????", the answer is, yes you can

The formula used to arrive at the number 3 is

(5078328 / 100)*x = ((7.13 billion * 100) / 5000000 )

( [amount of listeners of the band with most listeners on last.fm] / 100)*x = (([world population] * [people liking 100 bands at a average instead of just one]) / [amount of bands on discogs plus some extra bands because the site doesnt have all bands in the universe] )

>( [amount of listeners of the band with most listeners on last.fm] / 100)*x = (([world population] * [people liking 100 bands at a average instead of just one]) / [amount of bands on discogs plus some extra bands because the site doesnt have all bands in the universe] )

This formula is wrong and will lead to a bigger number of listeners per band than it should.
(([world population] * [people liking 100 bands at a average instead of just one]) / [amount of bands on discogs plus some extra bands because the site doesnt have all bands in the universe] )

The problem is the use of the entire world population instead of to find the amount of listeners each band would have if those listeners, listened to 100 bands and spread themselves equally between those bands.

Last.fm has 48 million users, this means world population has 148.541 x times the amount of last.fm users.
The formula, is then:
((5078328) / 100)*x = ((7.13 billion * 100) / 5000000 ) /148.541

And your mainstream score should be this one or less
0.019%

>This. True patricians don't care about showing off what they listen to on some retarded social media.

Get out with your catch 22.
Unless we start to look at random users looking for patricians, an patrician user would need to post his account on this thread.

>>64337567
>if you use last fm you're too pleb for mu
last.fm is not needed to find your mainstream score, it just make the job way easier than doing it by hand

>I have no idea what the percentage actually means.
It find the average amount of listeners your top 50 bands have (weighted by how much you listen to the band compared to others on your top 50)

to find the percentage, the site just compare this value with the amount of listeners the band with most listeners have
