I prefer really repetitive stuff for the heavy psychadelics. Especially shrooms since you can't really focus on anything for more than 15 seconds at a time.

Well on the run is really repetitive and specifically on any Colour the synth solo is just the same notes but sped up, slowed down, played backwards, forwards, to give the illusion of different things, like the title 'any Colour' you like
early Floyd is fine for psychs too but not as much as dark side, for the concept alone

Any Colour You Like is a lukewarm interval lacking in any emotional depth, providing only an intermission between Us and Them and Brain Damage/Eclipse.
Eclipse is literally the thesis of the entire album.

Psychedelic hip-hop I would say is Captain Murphy, cLOUDDEAD, Shabazz Palaces, and in particular ways anything trip-hop or chopped and screwed.

I think a large part of this is the use of psych bands using it in their music, but they had to have a reason to use it to begin with, yeah?
Tribal music in general has that feel because of its repetition, which lends itself well to creating an atmospheric trancelike sound. Same with Indian ragas.
Also Arabian scales form the foundation of surf rock, which was heavily influential in psychedelia.
