And please don't let this devolve into a "physical vs. digital" debate since most people probably use both anyways.
I got Fragile and the Pop Group at my record store, It Was Hot on Phil's store (they always have good packaging/extra bits with the records) and Absolutely Free for ridiculously cheap for it's quality on Etsy (underrated vinyl copping place).

I recently got this Fishmans box set. Excited to see how different the new reissues coming out tomorrow are different that the Rock Festival stuff.
Also, those are some top-tier choices OP.
>>64321630
Nice Pop Group + Mothers
Really need Absolutely Free myself, I have a fairly sizable Zappa collection as is. That's one of the few I'm missing.
I did also pick up Burt Bacharachs "Make it Easy on Yourself" the other day which is fucking fantastic.
>>64321818
shit, you're the rock festival guy too?
You should really post all the Fishmans stuff you have. How do you get it all??
And what's this about a reissue?
>>64321874
sick pickups man. I've been eyeing Absolutely Free for a while and just happened to get a good copy on Etsy.
>>64321955
They reissued all of their Media Remoras works which includes all albums Orange and earlier + two singles, an EP, and the Oh! Mountain live album on 4/20 and the three albums after that, Kuchu Camp, Long Season, and Uchu Nippon Setagaya come out tomorrow.
>>64322015
>4/20
lmao
>Long Season on vinyl
fucking finally.
Do you know if 98.12.28 is getting reissued soon?
>>64322049
Not to my knowledge. I'll post all the Fishmans stuff I have in a bit. Un momento.
Go Go Round This World! Box Set:
>Chappie Don't Cry
>Corduroy's Mood
super underrated EP. Hear this if you haven't yet
>King Master George
>Neo Yankee's Holiday
Probably my second favorite album by them. Definitly hear this soon if you're a fan of Dub/pop music.
>Go Go Round This World (single)
single w/ a few remixes of songs from Orange
>Melody (single)
see above
>Orange
different cover than the CD version. Cool though. Only album that's 1 LP in this box set.
>Oh! Mountain
Very underrated live output. Obviously doesn't compete with the behemoth that is 98.12.28, but still amazing.
>Baby (single)
Not pictured. Came extra and I think my friend is borrowing it.
In the Middle:
>Fishmans tablature book
No idea why I got this other than it was cheap
>Season (single) CD/DVD
Contains the Season single version, I Dub Fish, a live remix of Long Season/Walking in the Rhythm, as well as a music video for the Season single and some behind the scenese stuff
>Long Season CD
Splits the whole song into 5 parts. The version most people have in their library.
>Season (single)
Mini CD (weird looking) with just less content that the Season single + DVD. Don't get this if you can get the other unless you NEED a single CD
>Night Cruising single
It's night cruising + a remix
>Fishmans Space Shower TV episode 1
Basically the Japanese equivilant of MTV. Early live stuff + a couple music videos. There's 2 others and they're all expensive as fuck. Might get the others some day
>Orange CD
Not pictured, friend is also borrowing this
>98.12.28 Live @ Alaska Blitz
The famous Swansong concert. Friend is borrowing it atm.
Fishmans Rock Festival
>A odd plastic inserts
>Kuchu Camp
>Long Season
Listed as one song but has a break where part 3/4 are.
>Uchu Nippon Setagaya
>8月の現状
Another underrated live album.
>98.12.28
4 LPs. Massive. Beautiful. Last LP is Long Season, though divided in a less gracefull fashion.
>Season (single)
Same as the CD actually
>>64323463
cont:
>In the Air (single)
VERY underrated single. If you enjoyed the lengthy jamminess of Long Season. Definitely try this out
>Walk in the Rhythm (single)
A few house and trip-hop inspired remixes of their famous final single
I'll post their latest reissues when they come. Hopefully more to come. Wish I could see them live but the tour is Japan only ;_;
>>64323463
>>64323493
jesus christ anon.
Good luck I guess.
Where do you find all of your Fishmans stuff?
>>64323463
Beautiful, do you know if CdJapan are still taking pre orders for Long Season? I feel like I'm probably late to this and maybe they already sold out.
>>64323535
for older stuff and not the reissue-type stuff I use buyee.jp
and for everything else...
amazon.jp
hmv.co.jp/en/
cdjapan.co.jp
>>64323557
They're still available. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/UPJY-9033
Shipping will probably cost a pretty penny though.
>>64323601
>Found Rock Festival on buyee with 3 bids already
>Nearly $5,000
fucking hell.
How much did you get it for?:
http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/q114259298
>>64323639
That's tragic
I only payed ~$600 including shipping for mine in mint condition, but not many people outside of Japan were even aware of it's existance before I was flaunting mine. I had also been hunting it for nearly a year and Fishmans have grown in popularity on the Internet recently:

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I need a new dry cleaning brush.
Are there any anyone would recommend? The last one I bought, one of those flat brushes, felt like it was just pushing the dust around rather than taking it off. Pic related.

>Small Wee Hours
>Folsom Prison
nice finds
sorry for the bad pic, but that dark one is Surf's Up, really the only one that made the trip worthwhile to me. Cover's in rough shape but it plays well. All told these cost me $8. The little black one is an old Joan Baez single
