ZX if you already have something similar quality to the V55 - if either options are an upgrade to what you currently use, just get the v55 and be happy

>>64312533
you might want to EQ down the treble (which is the most harmful/fatiguing range of the sound) or lower the volume. Form what i've heard sound levels can be damaging even if you don't perceive it as too loud
>>
>>64313977
never had this problem, you might just be autistic

also you can always replace the pads with something better if you want to

they're pretty good for the price. Open headphones around the same price range might sound better but i prefer the privacy.

A good way to increase the comfort factor on Grado SR60/80 is to buy a replacement padded headband for Beyer DT770s. Fits pretty snugly over the stock Grado headband. Then get a pair of the Grado L-cushion pads (bowl pads). Cut out a circle of foam on the stock pads then put the bowl pads over the top like pic related.

So much more comfy.

Saw a guy on the bus with his bright green razer headphones once.

Still not as awful looking as the full size sennheisers people like to wear.

I've seen people wear the HD 202, 280 Pro and 558 in public several times.

They look less tryhard than the ever-popular fullsize Beats.
>>
>>64317703
Beats are the epitome of "what are you doing nigger?" though.

It doesn't matter what you look like if they sound good. It's a shame stax require mains power to work or I'd try them on the bus for sure.

They have crap mids and no soundstage. Instead of being detailed like analytical headphones should be, you get a mess of sound rushing into your ears like a freight train.

Personally I think they're terrible but when I first bought a pair (the old M50s) I thought they were the shit.
