why aren't you streaming your music?
>>
what is music
>>
>>64310940
I am. Spotify + iTunes Music. Plus I have a collection of stuff not on either i've bought.
>>
>>64310958
i also use both. apple music's recommendations and radios seem to be better, but spotify has its pros as well.
>>
I like my Sansa Clip running rockbox

14h of battery really makes a difference for the relation to music in your day-to-day life
>>
>>64310940
Because having an actual collection pushes you to actually take care about what you're listening to.

Spotify radio is really cool and a great technical accomplishment but it's the fast food of music.

Because I like being able to listen to whatever I want whenever I want for free with my own album cover choices and filenames.

I've been downloading for 20 years now. Not sure how I'd go about changing.

When I'm checking out an album I listen once on youtube

If it sounds interesting enough to listen to in high quality, I download it. I'd rather not have to seed bad albums for hundreds of hours

life must be hard in africa.
>>
>>64311250
Stealing is against God in all religions, so it's basically universally immoral. Remember this when you spend your time in purgatory and have to explain to an all-seeing all-knowing God why you did it instead of using your wages or NEETbux.
>>
>>64310940
Because I'm not a casuality of society.
>>
I see streaming as the worst option. You don't get to keep the music, you have to pay to avoid ads (Youtube excepted) and the artists barely get any money from it. I'd rather pirate the music then buy the copies I can afford, preferably on Bandcamp (which gives the artists a better percentage) and/or on labels I like (because I want to support them too).

>>64312265
Is this bait?

First, piracy is not the same as stealing. It's still objectionable, but as long as you still consider paying, you're not taking anything away from anyone.

Second, if you want to make a valid argument I'm afraid you have to base it on reason, not faith.
>>
its on my hard drive why would I stream it
>>
>>64310958
>>64310977
I don't get it. The differences between each service is so negligible that signing up to both makes little sense.
>>
>>64310940
I stream it on Spotify, then if I like it, I'll download it to iTunes
>>
>>64310940
cus streaming music is gay
>>
>>64313194
iTunes has stuff Spotify doesn't, and vice versa. And I prefer the Spotify interface.
>>
I have tidal and I pay for the Lossless streaming on it. I actually like the service. But I forgot how much cellular data it uses to stream HiFi. Ive used 30 gb of cellular data on tidal in just one week.
>>
>i pirate then buy if I like :^)
I stream and pirate but have never done this. If I bought everything I adored I'd have 3 credit cards maxed out just to afford it all.
>>
I use Spotify almost exclusively. It's so convenient to just save an album I'm interested in so I can listen to it later. Usually download stuff to my phone over Wi-Fi so I don't use data. Even got a stereo reciever with Spotify Connect so I can use it through that as well.
For the rare albums that aren't on Spotify, I just use soulseek.
>>
I use Google Music. Plus it gets me YouTube Red. The streaming content is garbage, but I like the ad-free videos.

I also have TMobile and streaming music doesn't count against my data.

you were fine until you mentioned soulseek, you deserve to get shot
>>
>>64310940
I'd rather own music than have my library be in the hands of some company. I do use it for trying out new music, though, it'd be stupid not to take advantage of that aspect of it.
>>
>>64310940
First choice is Spotify, if it's not on Spotify i stream from Bandcamp. If it's not on Bandcamp i download
>>
>>64313594
W-what's wrong with soulseek? It's the easiest way I've found to get obscure albums.
>>
>>64313648
He probably can't get it to work hahaha

>having to deal with ads
>having to pay $10 monthly for something you don't own
>only having access to it when you have an internet connection
>no one subscription service has every artist due to exclusivity deals
>severely lessens one's appreciation for music

I'm good. I'll just buy vinyl and download music because my phone has an expandable memory card and I didn't fall for Apple's iPhone schemes.

>>

indeed I am sir, enjoy your shitty "320" transcodes
>>
>>64313941
Or FLAC with .log files if you're not a total fucking idiot.
>>
>>64313975
there are almost no FLAC albums with .log files in there though
>>
>>64313803
you can download all music on spotify if you have premium
>>
>>64310940
Google Music here. I enjoy being able to actually still listen to shit that the streaming doesn't carry
>>
Wait stream have all the music in the universe?
>>
Its cheaper to download it as I listen to a lot of music while commuting.
>>
cause i pirate
>>
>>64310995
