Hidden gems thread.
Bonus: post some background info
From Wikipedia (translated)
>Almost all of the material for the album (acoustic guitar, vocals) recorded Fedorov at his home in the kitchen; the richness of the arrangements , which is heard in the recording, created by superimposing phonograms other non-designated independent music. At the same time, a number of original foreign music plays the role of supporting parties, enriching the songs harmonically and rhythmically, and sometimes even becoming a full-fledged counterpoint . Leonid Fedorov himself calls this album a good experiment. Some idea of the records can be used to make on the album Thanks to the output data.

I mean they aren't really popular at all. Their older stuff is a hidden gems. Stuff like Pewter and Iron Clad Lou for example. Everyone I mention the band to has no idea who they are.

Shoegaze and alt rock. I Hate It Too is my favorite off the album

It's like Duster but even more lo-fi and drugged-out (I know it's the same guys). One of my favorites.
glitch + downtempo
This has a few fans in the underground metal world but it really needs more recognition, it's easily top 10 of all time for me.
Think of a bizarre black/speed metal style, with sampled drums and hip-hop/electronic inspired beats. Then horrible electronic MIDI instruments forced into completely different uses than what they were intended. Oh, and some Hungarian folk melodies to top it off.
It's like what Liturgy were trying to do with The Ark Work but without any sort of irony.

"Dream pop/ethereal wave" is usually just Cocteau twins ripoffs but these guys have really nice downtempo electronic beats. Atmospheric synths and nice female vocals too, I'd go so far as to say I prefer this album to anything Cocteau Twins have done.

this sounds like something I'd really like
Most people just know Thomas Dolby as a one-hit wonder. He actually put out 4 albums with vastly differing sounds. This live album chronicles his first tour in more than 15 years.
Great stuff, highly recommend for any synth-pop/electronica fan.
found this earlier tonight

Leonid Fedorov isn't that hidden. Auktyon is pretty well known. He actually has a ton of great stuff.
post more stuff, I'm too pleb to contribute anything worthwhile to this thread but there's some good stuff in here already
