I created a new account because I had a lot of inactive people following my account, plus I had so many awful scrobbles of shit like Maroon 5, Asking Alexandria, and just awful shit that I laugh at myself for listening to.

No, the in-built player on the site now let's you exclusive play YouTube videos instead of trying to install and open Spotify. Because it's the site's own player it can scrobble just fine.
You need tt go into your settings and enable it.
