I have a slightly unpopular opinion about this album. It sounds good BUT it sounds very "busy" and "involving". Due to this I feel that it should have been shorter. But it goes on for 54 minutes.
The variation in sound isn't too much and the music remains densely packed and frenetic which leaves me a bit exhausted till the 45th minute mark and craving for something else which is nice and slow and has calm drums.
Does anyone else think that this album could either be
1. more "varied" instead of similar sounding throughout.
or
2. shorter
or
3. not as heavy/busy as it is?
NOT baiting. Genuine question. This is why I seem to enjoy the first 2 tracks of this album most

While I understand where you are coming from, I disagree.
The first four tracks are all rather high energy, which makes sense for this album. However, Daily Routine takes that momentum and unwinds it, and after that you get more chilled out songs (Bluish, Guys Eyes, Taste) that are still kind of upbeat. The only roadblock is Lion in a Coma, which sort of shakes you back up but immediately leaves you to chill out again with No More Runnin, which isn't helpful because it leads into the highest energy song on the album.
Without Lion in a Coma, it maintains the perfect gliding deceleration of momentum, chilling you out right into the arms of Brothersport.

Not really, no. Even though most of the songs are pretty dense and 'full' sounding it just works perfectly for me the way it is, they're energetic in different ways. Daily Routine's slowmotion bit for example is great at breaking it up and honestly makes the album as a whole that much better
