But let's get down to the real issue here. It's the propaganda of trans surgery as the new milestone in human rights.
Today gender and sex are taught to be separate concepts that don't have to have anything to do with each other. But, somehow, it's also said that people can be born the wrong gender, and that compels them to change their sex to "match" it.
On these very shaky grounds the media has been covering the trans surgery as the next big thing. When in reality it's a mental thing that maybe concerns a fraction of a percent of people.
Now while this debate goes on, one might wonder if we really have no more problems unsolved that this is indeed the biggest problem we have. We have constant price hiking in medical bills, student loans, raising military expenditures and national debt, we have the South and its poor financial state. You know, the problems which concern much more than 1% of Americans, impact their well-being.
And with all that we still need to cut the disproportionate amount of time for trans people issues. For 1 person like Bruce Jenner and his Emperor's New Dress story.

These people are put literally at the top of the moral scale, like our fucking life depends on their happiness. The whole media is going crazy, trying to find the most victimized person ever. Now imagine if the only cure for some patient was to see millions die in an atomic explosion. What do you say to it? I'd say "mate, to the mental institution you go".
You see, all of this is what people refer to as "feels over reality". Do you realize the physical reflex of disgust millions of people feel looking at removed limbs, mutilated genitalia, blind people? It's horrifyingly disturbing to the rest of the world.
We constantly have to face trade-offs in society. I don't want to go to work, but I need money. I feel sad but I want to fit in society. I hate something what other 5 people around me enjoy, but I tolerate it.
There's only one moral solution to this: we should pursue our individual goals, but only as long as they don't hurt others for our negligible gain.
And "feels over reality" is exactly that. "Let's not commit one person to mental institution. Let's change the rest of the world to fit his dreams. You don't say this 40-year-old man is a 6-year-old girl? You're a bigot and you should kill yourself! Oh, what is it? The whole America thinks this way? What a bigoted country! Everyone is wrong except me!"
All these mentally ill people should be institutionalized, because good of many other healthy people >>>> good of one mentally ill person.

This sounds ridiculous at this point. It makes me seriously uncomfortable knowing someone would actually say this, but anyway:
I'm fine with it as long as this man is expelled from society, never to be heard of again. I'm not going to tolerate seeing him and hearing of him, because it offends me, insults me and causes me and all people around me extreme physical discomfort, to the point that it can damage children.
Yes, I think the mental well-being of society is by far more important than these people's delusions. They can't make hundreds, thousands of others suffer from seeing them. Therefore they should be completely isolated from society. At best, they should do this n their own to not waste money on themselves at public expense.
And yep, it's the old conservative 1950s patriarchal model of society at work, which is actually based on authority, which I see as the only one that has been proven to work. By the way, not recognizing authority is considered as one of the foremost signs of many mental disorders, AFAIK.

That's right. The basics of civilized behavior start from accepting the authority of others. Reality is more important than feels. Others' feels are more important than my feels.
By your logic we should let any 6 year old drive a 10-ton truck, because not doing so will bring him a great suffering. Because without the concept of authority, we'd really do that, potentially killing the child and others. But the authority of society doesn't let us do that, and that's how we have survived until now.
