i kinda sorta agree with him, but it has nothing to do with their image or lyrics (not like i can understand them), i'm just not a big fan of their style of raw black metal. i did enjoy the first album tho quite a lot, and their last two albums (s/t and la chaise-dyable) were okay too. i just don't like their (i'm assuming) most favorite albums.

i look at it as this: The Wall is to rock as To Pimp a Butterfly is to hip-hop. It's too damn long, too caught up in its concept, and not nearly as masterful as some people like to pretend it is. But there's a lot to like about it regardless.

Yes they are. And with the Wall, there's about 5 or 6 songs on it that i absolutely love. With both albums, i really respect the amount of effort that went into every fucking detail. They're both "impressive" albums.
But, again, they've both got some fucking issues. Every time i hear a song like Comfortably Numb or Hey You or Goodbye Blue Sky, i think "this can't possibly be lower than an 8/10" but then there's the fact that it seems to go on for fucking forever and the "final payoff" of the album is garbage like The Trial and it seems like 6/10 might be a huge stretch.
