it's funny... I was such and still am a SP fanboy... but back when he shaved his head I was like 14 and I believed the whole, "i did it as a statement against vanity" meme

It didn't occur to me that my hero was just balding IRL and shaved it to try and look less goofy

I still wonder what would have happened if he just let it ride w/o the shaved look. Kids today might not realize that after he went full bald the band was no longer 'successful' as a mainstream rock band ever again

MCIS was technically recorded with hair, and he still has it in BWBW video. 1979 video and Tonight Tonight obscured by hat. 33 video he's rocking the baldness but that video got the least amount of MTV airplay

By the time Adore came out, most girls didn't want to fuck him anymore
