could anyone help me with a list of the main rock genres from the 80s-present? I know you might call this spoon feeding but I can't really find a solid answer to this anywhere else. It's all jumbled up charts or timelines that don't make any sense. I'm just trying to expand my taste in rock a little bit. all i know is
80s-Metal (heavy, black, death, thrash, hair), Nu wave, Shoegze, punk, post punk, goth
90s-Alternative rock, grunge
2000s-nu metal, indie rock, emo
