one of the greatest musical concepts in modern time, one of the few actual examples of timeless music. gas is the logical conclusion of music, it's post-music. it's hard to talk about this music without resorting to fancy words, but that's how i feel.

Absolute genius. "Pop" will go down in history as an absolute masterpiece in minimal electronic music. The way he utilizes the stereo field in Untitled 2 and Untitled 4 is just unfathomable. He's right to call it drug music. But it's more than that. It's crafted bliss.

Pop 1 is my favorite piece of music ever.
I'm not a fan of his other stuff though. Ruckverzauberung 10 from last year was touted as the closest thing he's done to Gas but that shit was bland as fuck
He founded Kompakt, which is probably the best thing that he's ever done.
His ambient is pleasant, but not even close to the best out there.
it really isnt for me. it's way too static for my tastes but i respect his influence
