Death Grips, Vaporwave and Fantanto led to the rise of the advent teen and the place is slowly becoming filled with more memes than /tv/. It also doesn't help that everyone has their new found fear of viraling here which makes it hard to talk about anything outside of /mu/'s normal circle jerk.

/mu/ is very normie. it's mostly teenagers or young college students. i've known 4 /mu/tants and real life and they were genuinely popular people who go to parties, have gfs, are considered funny, etc. and they listen to generic /mu/core like death grips. not to mention all the fb "memers" that come here thanks to le ironic meme pages.

It should be noted that the poor reception of Goblin coincides with the increase in popularity of Death Grips. Exmilitary came out only a week prior to Goblin and had the same dark and mysterious vibe that Odd Future fans go for. I remember people claiming that MC Ride was Tyler's dad lol.
