How does /mu/ feel about David Byrne and Brian Eno's album, "Everything that Happens Will Happen Today" ?

let's just say that if any band released that as their first album nobody would ever have heard it.
in fact it never would have been given a record deal, been recorded, and been distributed in the first place.
keeping seasoned established artists around lowers the fucking bar shamefully. anyone else hear pink floyd's last album? never deserved to make money.
it sure isn't My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts
it actually sounds a lot like a John Cale album at times

my point is it's bad and the only reason it was funded and released was because they have the clout and noteriety to have shit released. my point is it's not good and based on its own merit it shouldn't exist.
in other words, if you said "check out this new band" everyone would hate it but if you said "check out this new eno byrne joint" they'd be like "oh neato byrne and eno". blech
