it's got the sound down, the sound that i still wish Animal Collective sounded like, instead of their mish mash caricature too many layers gobbledegook
but the songs just aren't there for me

I've listened to it a lot since it came out and it's surprisingly holding up very well. I think it may actually be a aoty contender, even though I was dubious at first.

Multiple listens also have bought me to the conclusion that Seed Song is harshly underrated and Footy is good but overrated

Shadow Mine is great too, I'd have loved a song where that sound was developed. On my first listen my only thought was "whatever this is transitioning into is going to be god tier", sadly it wasn't as much a transition as an interlude.
