My friend is having an underwater-themed birthday party today and I've been designated to make the playlist. What's some good sea-themed music that will get a party bumpin? These are musically-inclined friends so it doesn't have to be just pop music.
All I have so far is The Mollusk by Ween.
Avey Tare's Down There is supposed to have a swampy, underwater vibe
Surf's Up by Beach Boys

She's turning 20. Themed birthdays are fun man.

Down There's pretty gloomy but Oliver Twist should work well. And definitely adding some Beach Boys.

Anyone else? Got a solid hours worth of wet jams so far need some more

themed events are shit, it's like a joke for people with no sense of humour
The little mermaid soundtrack
>>64102473
That is great but seeing as it's one of the deepest things he did, it's not exactly going to get anything 'jumping'.
op you need Rock Lobster while I try to think

Man how did I forget this classic. Adding it now
If by the end everybody was half dying and melancholy you could finish it with Leb' Wohl from Neu 75, that piano and waves.
But I wouldn't do that if I were you.
Going to parties? Smh

Julian Cope - Not raving but drowning
from Peggy Suicide
This is about an England fan who literally fell over the side of a cross channel ferry while on Acid. He got on the side rail and started to dance, then stopped when he fell into the sea.
Lyric: 'The Sea-link is here, then gone'.
Use this, turn it up.

I'm digging the hell out of these but they might not be party material. Might be good near the end when everyone is chilling out/leaving.

Stella was a diver and she is always down by Interpol
Holy Diver by Dio

I used to listen to it as a kid. Pretty good song desu. Don't hate :o
Person pitch? Bros would work great imo
Nocturn by Kate Bush ends with her in the sea,out of her face by the sound of it. It's kind of good trippy AOR. Long though at 9 minutes and mid tempo then builds nicely. Might be gud for late on when it's dying down.
It's hard to isolate because it's in an unmixed suite called a sky of honey, the second half of Aerial.
Lyric: We stand in the Atlantic, We become Panoramic.
Ignore this fags video and sound effects, I used this one because he has the best sound quality.
