What album went up the most points for you?
>Is This It 5/10 to 10/10
>>
ITAOTS - 6/10 to 10/10 in just one listen, maybe I was in a bad mood at first
>>
Magma - K.A.
First listen: 3/10
Second listen: 9/10

Believe it or not I used to hate Magma
>>
Feels went from 3/10 unlistenable to about an 8.5/10

similarly, STGTV. pretty much a 2/10 up to a 9/10

How does one's opinion change on this album? Why did you give it a 5 and what made you love it?
>>
9/10 but I still prefer First impressions of the earth over this record
>>
Liars - WIXIW

4/10 "Yawn put down the synths plz" to 9/10 "Oh god this is sexy"

4/10 to 10/10

Also I feel you OP, ITI went from a 6 to a 10 for me
>>
At first I only liked Teenage Riot on Daydream Nation but I wouldn't have given it a low rating because I knew I hadn't worked out the rest.

Once I like the sound of something I'll keep exploring it, so loads of stuff starts off fairly 'low' then jumps as I get more into it.

This one went down the most

8/10 a few years ago (I wasn't into music or music criticism then), 1/10 now. Not even Jamie xx can save this shallow, repetitive monstrosity of an album. The songs do not even change from track to track, and it's painfully obvious that Jamie isn't operating at nearly his production potential. The vocals are the most archetypical chill female vocals ever, painfully monotone, and what not. This is legitimately one of the worst albums I have ever heard, not solely because of the musical quantity, but because I know it could have been so much more.

Same thing happened to me

Quality* not quantity

the constant lyrics about sex, a woman being addicted to a man's dominance, and incredibly shallow self-deprecating themes make Romy feel like a wallowing pit of tears and an incredibly weak human being.

This album could have been something great. I can tell that Romy is a talented singer, and I KNOW that Jamie is one of the best UK producers alive. But it's obvious that these song concepts were made in 10 minutes each, and that this record feels painfully like a post-success cash out - despite it being a breakthrough debut

Pathetic

>listening to album I quite liked again and liking it more = forcing myself to like it. ok

I must not have been paying enough attention to it or something, ehen I first gave it a listen I found it boring and felt like all the songs sounded the same. Now I find it catchy as hell, relateable, like Julian's voice a lot more, and can easily distinguish each song.

I listened to and got into OKC years before I came to this site friend-o

Nine Inch Nails -The Downward Spiral

I always liked it a lot, but as I've aged and experienced more in my life, I can relate much more to the lyrics.

That's probably not a good thing.
