Why do Slowdove suck so much?
They sound like Oasis decided to record a Coteau Twins cover album, and it's disgusting that people compare Souvlaki to Loveless.
Even that one Ride album, that stupid Kairon;IRSE album, and all the shit Deerhunter made manages to be better at shoegaze.

How many times have you listened to souvlaki? It's a very challenging album, it took me like 10 listens to start liking it. Don't be so hard on yourself for not enjoying it on your first listen.
I don't think it's in the same league as Loveless myself but Souvlaki's a fine album. I do think it walks the dividing line between shoegaze and dream pop, though.
